Returns & Refunds

If you’re not 100% satisfied, you can return your product for free (EU, UK, CHE) within 30 days of delivery. We also offer online exchanges through our retail portal. We aim to process refunds as soon as possible; however, the complete process can take up to 14 working days. Please note that during sales periods and promotional moments, processing times may be longer.

You can return all items within 30 days of delivery as long as they meet the following conditions:



✓ The products must be free from any signs of use, dirt, hair, or similar contamination.


✓ All products must have been purchased online directly from Stübben.


✓ The original labels must be attached to the products.


✓ Accessories must be returned with all parts included in the original packaging.


✓ For hygienic reasons, care products can only be returned if defective.


✓ Bits cannot be returned for hygienic reasons if they have been used in the horse’s mouth without protective covering (e.g., plastic film).


✓ We cannot reimburse you if products have been damaged due to negligence, misuse, or wear and tear.

Do I have to pay the return shipping costs myself?  

We will pay the return shipping costs within the EU as well as Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Can I exchange an item?  

Yes, you can exchange products through our Return Portal. Just choose "wrong size," and you will get the option to select a new size or color.

How long will it take to refund me?  

Whilst we aim to process all returns as quickly as possible, it can take up to 14 working days for us to process your return and for the funds to reach your account. Refunds will not be processed on orders returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Can I return to a store?  

Yes, you can also return your Stübben.com online order directly at our shop in Kempen, Germany.

How can I track my return?  

You can track the progress of your return shipment via the carrier tracking service. Just note down the tracking number before shipping.

Can you return a custom saddle or bridle?  

Custom-made saddles are crafted individually to your specifications, including tree size, seat, flap configuration, leather type, and colour. This also applies to the custom bridles. Because of this, they are considered personalized items and are therefore excluded from return or exchange, in accordance with § 8(2) of our Terms and Conditions.

However, if your custom saddle or bridle arrives with a manufacturing defect or was not made according to the agreed specifications, please contact us immediately. We’ll be happy to review the case and find a solution.

To ensure a perfect fit and full satisfaction, we strongly recommend working with a Stübben saddle fitter during the ordering process.

Can I return a discounted/SALE item?  

Yes, you can.

What should I do if my item arrived damaged or defective?  

Start the return process, choose the return reason ‘Parcel damaged on arrival,’ and place a new order for the product.

Do I have to pay for a return shipped from outside the EU, Switzerland, or the UK?  

Yes, in this case you will need to arrange the return yourself and cover the shipping costs.

Do I need to print the return label myself?  

No, not necessarily. You can also just show the QR code from the return label on your phone at the parcel shop.
