The AKA Starter bridle is designed in a simplified form so that young horses can become familiar with the bit while having room for movement in the mouth. A chin strap prevents the bit from slipping when working on the double longe, making this bridle ideal for early training.

Size Guide  

Please use the enclosed size chart to determine the correct size for your horse.

Instructions  

The bridle should sit comfortably behind the ears and not restrict the horse’s movement. Ensure that the bridle is neither too loose nor too tight. The noseband should sit approximately two fingers’ width below the cheekbone, allowing enough space for comfort and unrestricted breathing. The bit and cheekpieces should be adjusted so that a few small wrinkles appear at the corners of the horse’s mouth, indicating that the bit sits correctly without causing pressure or discomfort.

Care Instructions  

After each use, wipe down all leather parts which are covered with sweat and residue. Clean the bridle regularly with Stübben leather care to maintain leather quality. Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve leather and metal fittings. A Regular inspection of the Slide&Lock buckle and all stitching is advised.
