The Sligo bridle with hook studs is a high-quality, classic bridle with versatile applications. It combines an anatomically shaped headpiece with four different noseband options, allowing it to be individually adapted to different requirements. The stainless steel hook studs ensure a simple and reliable fastening system.
Highlights
Anatomical Design & Comfort
The specially developed headpiece of the Sligo is designed to relieve pressure in the sensitive poll area. Its cut-back shape provides sufficient space for the ears and supports a comfortable fit, even for horses with different head conformations.
The soft padding ensures even pressure distribution. In the sensitive area along the cervical spine, the padding is intentionally reduced to avoid additional pressure and provide more space.
Fastenings
The Sligo bridle is equipped with stainless steel hook studs, allowing quick and easy attachment and removal of the bit.
Noseband Options
The Sligo bridle is available with different noseband options and can therefore be individually adapted to the needs of horse and rider:
Technical Details

The bridle should sit comfortably behind the ears and not restrict the horse’s movement. Ensure that the bridle is neither too loose nor too tight. The noseband should sit approximately two fingers’ width below the cheekbone, allowing enough space for comfort and unrestricted breathing. The bit and cheekpieces should be adjusted so that a few small wrinkles appear at the corners of the horse’s mouth, indicating that the bit sits correctly without causing pressure or discomfort.
Reins and bit are not included.
After each use, wipe down all leather parts that are exposed to sweat and residue. Clean the bridle regularly with Stübben leather care products to maintain the quality of the leather. Store the bridle in a dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve both leather and metal fittings. Regular inspection of all buckles and stitching is recommended.
Our bridles are delivered in individual parts and need to be assembled before first use.
