The 2330 Island bridle is specially designed for Icelandic horses and crafted from finest full-grain leather. With its lightweight, minimalistic design and optionally removable throat strap, it delivers excellent comfort and freedom of movement tailored to the needs of the Icelandic mount.

Size Guide

This bridle is available in the “Island” size, designed specifically for Icelandic equines. Select your preferred noseband style (Dropped or Combined) and colour (Black/Black or Ebony/Ebony). Ensure the headpiece sits correctly behind the ears, the cheek-pieces align toward the bit, and the noseband lies flat without undue pressure.

Care

After each use, wipe down all leather parts to remove sweat and residue. Treat the bridle with recommended leather care products to maintain suppleness. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat to preserve leather quality and metal fittings. Regular inspection of the Slide&Lock buckle and all stitching is advised to ensure long-term performance.

Usage

This bridle stands out due to its high-quality full-grain bridle leather, softly padded headpiece and lightweight construction which minimise rubbing and pressure on the poll and ears. The noseband is wide and adjustable from both sides, and the “combined” version allows removal of the locking strap without residue for a cleaner look. Use the 2330 Island when riding Icelandic horses, especially where freedom of ear-and-poll movement and light tack feel are priorities. Its design supports gaited horse comfort and encourages relaxed movement rather than restrictive pressure. Choose the combined noseband if you wish to remove the locking strap easily for training or show.
