The Bridle Leitrim Slide&Lock combines comfort, functionality and timeless design. The straight headpiece and slim design make this bridle highly versatile. Uniform padding distributes pressure evenly across the neck. Cheekpieces run over the headpiece by leather loops so they can slide freely, allowing symmetrical bit adjustment.
The bridle should sit comfortably behind the ears and not restrict the horse’s movement. Ensure that the bridle is neither too loose nor too tight. The noseband should sit approximately two fingers’ width below the cheekbone, allowing enough space for comfort and unrestricted breathing. The bit and cheekpieces should be adjusted so that a few small wrinkles appear at the corners of the horse’s mouth, indicating that the bit sits correctly without causing pressure or discomfort.
Reins and bit are not included.
After each use, wipe down all leather parts that are exposed to sweat and residue. Clean the bridle regularly with Stübben leather care products to maintain the quality of the leather. Store the bridle in a dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve both leather and metal fittings. Regular inspection of all buckles and stitching is recommended.
