Description

The 2121 Bucephalus Easy Control Loose Ring Snaffle double jointed is a soft-action loose ring snaffle designed to promote a supple, elastic connection between horse and rider. The reins attach via two durable rubber bands inside the rings, creating a flexible, forgiving link that reduces direct pressure on the horse’s mouth. This encourages the horse to step naturally from the hind leg into the rein, supporting forward movement, rhythm, and a softer, more consistent contact. The result is improved elasticity, greater willingness in collection, and enhanced overall harmony in communication.

With the Easy Control design the bit functions as a snaffle under light contact but converts into a bar bit under strong, bilateral pressure.

Size Guide

If you already have a bit that fits your horse well, you can use it as a reference for choosing the correct size.

If not, measure your horse’s mouth width by placing a bit sizer or a soft cord/string in the mouth at the position where the bit will sit, mark the ends, then measure the distance. The bit width should be such that the rings rest just outside (or very slightly beyond) the lip corners—if the bit is too narrow, it will pinch; too wide, it will shift side to side. For loose ring bits, allow a little “play” (1cm on one side) so the rings can rotate freely without pinching the lips.
