The 2122 Rubber Rings Bucephalus set includes two pairs of replacement rubber rings (one black, one red) designed for use with the Bucephalus bit bridles. The red rings are softer and more flexible, while the black rings offer slightly firmer support, giving you choice and versatility.

Description

Replacement rubber rings, suitable for all Bucephalus bit bridles, The red ring is soft, the black ring a bit stronger

Size Guide

Red ring - soft; black ring - strong

Usage

This set allows you to refresh or adjust the feel of the Bucephalus bit without replacing the entire mouthpiece. The red rings offer more flexibility and softness for sensitive horses, while the black rings provide a more stable and firmer contact. The rings are designed specifically for the Bucephalus mouthpiece and should be installed evenly on both sides. Make sure they sit centered, do not pinch, and stay balanced during movement. Check the fit again after the first ride.

Care

Washing
After each ride, rinse or wipe the bit to remove saliva, feed residues, or sweat. Use lukewarm water and, if needed, a mild, pH-neutral detergent or saddle soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the metal surface and reduce the bit’s longevity.

Drying
Once cleaned, dry the bit thoroughly with a soft cloth. Allow it to air dry completely before storage. Do not expose the bit to direct sunlight, and never place it on or near heat sources such as heaters or radiators.

Storage
Store your bit in a dry, well-ventilated environment, protected from moisture and temperature fluctuations. For best results, keep bits individually or padded to prevent metal parts from rubbing or scratching each other. Avoid leaving the bit attached to the bridle for extended periods, especially in humid conditions.
