The Freedom II Slide&Lock bridle combines state-of-the-art anatomical research with elegant design. Its innovative construction takes the sensitive structures of the horse’s head into account and supports maximum freedom of movement as well as particularly even pressure distribution – perfect for riders who want to combine the highest level of comfort for their horse with a refined, functional design.
Highlights
Ultimate Anatomical Design
The Freedom II was developed to optimally respect the sensitive structures of the horse’s head. Its unique design ensures that neither the browband nor the headpiece crosses the sensitive ear muscles. As the horse’s ears are one of its most important communication tools, their freedom of movement is especially important.
The headpiece is positioned further back and softly padded in the sensitive area around the base of the ears. This significantly reduces pressure on the poll and noticeably improves the horse’s comfort.
The special cheekpiece design relieves the sensitive area around the eye and keeps the horse’s rear field of vision unobstructed. In addition, sensitive nerve exit points remain untouched.
The softly padded noseband is slightly wider to reduce pressure on the sensitive nose area. A special cut-out in the molar area helps prevent unpleasant pressure points.
Slide&Lock Fastenings
The exclusive Slide&Lock fastenings on the cheekpieces allow particularly quick and easy bit changes.
Simply push the metal sleeve upward with light pressure to release the leather loop. After changing the bit, slide the sleeve back down until it securely locks in place with a click.
Noseband
English combined noseband, softly padded and anatomically shaped. The widened noseband supports even pressure distribution and ensures a high level of comfort.
Technical Details

The bridle should sit comfortably behind the ears and not restrict the horse’s movement. Ensure that the bridle is neither too loose nor too tight. The noseband should sit approximately two fingers’ width below the cheekbone, allowing enough space for comfort and unrestricted breathing. The bit and cheekpieces should be adjusted so that a few small wrinkles appear at the corners of the horse’s mouth, indicating that the bit sits correctly without causing pressure or discomfort.
Reins and bit are not included.
After each use, wipe down all leather parts that are exposed to sweat and residue. Clean the bridle regularly with Stübben leather care products to maintain the quality of the leather. Store the bridle in a dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve both leather and metal fittings. Regular inspection of all buckles and stitching is recommended.
