The Snaffle Bridle Freedom II with Slide&Lock represents the next generation of ergonomic bridle designs – developed to increase the horse's comfort through an anatomically optimized shape and the innovative Slide&Lock closure system for easy adjustment and safety.
Ear Freedom
The unique Freedom Bridle respects the anatomy and biomechanics of your horse. A horse’s ears, along with its eyes, are essential communication tools. Neither the browband nor the headpiece of the Freedom Bridle crosses the horse’s 16 ear muscles. With no pressure applied to nerves or veins, the horse retains full freedom of ear movement.
Motivation and Joy of Movement
Thanks to the special position of the headpiece and throatlash, sensitive areas around the neck and throat are spared. This prevents triggering the horse’s flight instincts. Instead of causing resistance or discomfort, the horse can fully express its natural willingness to move and work. Stress factors commonly caused by traditional bridles are avoided.
Unrestricted Field of Vision
Traditional bridles often limit the horse’s backward field of vision due to the placement of the cheekpieces. The Freedom Bridle maintains a clear field of view thanks to its innovative cheekpiece design: the curved shape avoids the eye area and prevents pressure on sensitive nerves.
Completely Redesigned Bridle
The Freedom Bridle has been fully redesigned in collaboration with an equine dentist to enhance comfort and optimize fit:
Crownpiece moved further back and slimmed in the center to better clear the ears and poll
Improved backward field of vision due to the new crownpiece placement
Additional soft padding around the ear cutout for increased comfort
Softer, anatomically shaped chin pad with size-adapted dimensions
Redesigned curved cheekpieces for a straight, uninterrupted line to the bit
Consistently correct position of the crownpiece behind the ears across all sizes
Broader, softly padded noseband for enhanced comfort and a more elegant look
Pressure relief through a recessed noseband pad in the area of the molars
A single shared cheekpiece for both noseband and bit—reducing bulk and improving bridle stability and appearance
