Description

The Stübben SteelTEC Easy Control Bits are transformed into a bar bit when the horse applies strong, even pressure on both reins. With a normal connection to the rider’s hand and as soon as either the horse or rider eases the pressure, the bit becomes flexible again and functions like a regular loose ring snaffle. This allows for precise yet gentle aids when needed.

Thanks to the Easy Control bit’s effect, horses often learn on their own to yield as soon as the bar effect comes into play. For this reason, Easy Control bits should be used temporarily for training purposes, with regular checks to determine whether the desired learning effect has already been achieved.

The Baucher bit is known for its stable position in the horse’s mouth. The sidebars ensure that the bit sits quietly and evenly, resulting in a consistent connection between the rider’s hand and the horse. When the reins are engaged, the Baucher bit tilts slightly and acts on the corners of the mouth, which can encourage better self-carriage. The double-jointed mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and bars.

Key Benefits at a Glance

Effect
When the horse applies strong forward pressure on both reins, the bit becomes a bar bit. As soon as the horse or rider gives (even on one side), the bit acts like a double-jointed loose ring snaffle.

Mouthpiece

  • Made of stainless steel
  • Stainless steel is durable, tasteless, and odorless

Which Horses Is This Bit Especially Suited For?

  • Horses that become strong in certain situations (e.g., out hacking, while jumping, etc.)
  • Horses that tend to pull hard toward jumps
  • Horses that tend to drop too low in the contact
  • Horses that become overly cautious with leverage bits or similar equipment

Important Note on Proper Use
Any bit can cause discomfort if used roughly or incorrectly. An incorrect size can also cause pain for the horse. If you have questions about sizing or how to properly adjust the bit, feel free to contact us or read more about choosing the right size and here about correct adjustment in the horse's mouth.

Please note: Easy Control bits should be changed regularly to evaluate whether the intended training effect is taking place.
